Robert F. Hagen, founder of Hagen Insurance, established our company in 1991 to provide Alaska employers with the same employee benefits that were available to big, national companies. His business was initially successful, leading to the addition of personal insurance in 1995 and commercial insurance opportunities in 1997. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2003. Bob was respected throughout the local business community and well-liked by many.
Bob's personal integrity, work ethic and enthusiasm for insurance were recognized with the creation of the annual Bob Hagen Memorial Award by fellow brokers of the Alaska Association of Health Underwriters (AAHU), which is the local chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU).
In 1991, Hagen Insurance was started to bring the employee benefit tools and ideas used by larger national companies to Alaskan employers of any size. Currently, we provide benefits brokerage and consulting opportunities for more than four hundred Alaska companies.
Hagen Insurance also believes in using a team approach. Clients can benefit from the experience and insight of more than just a single agent and our staff keeps a constant lookout for the most suitable carriers and plans to satisfy the needs of our varied client base. We employ at least two agents in each department so that our office can remain open through normal lunch times and someone familiar with each account is always available for you.
Insurance is far too complex a purchase to depend solely on a written proposal. Our team prefers to meet our prospects and clients face-to-face to go over proposals and their specific insurance needs to form a strategic coverage plan using the best insurance options available today. Contact us today and let us know what we can do to assist you!
